• Until a person is dead, they are still very much alive and living:
    they are entitled to their needs & wants;
    rights & choices;
    and free will.

    It is MY INTENT to keep you, as my client, as educated and empowered as possible through each step of your journey, so that you may maintain the utmost agency and freedom of choice until the very end.

    WHO* / WHAT / WHEN / WHERE / WHY / HOW
    SMELL / SIGHTS / TASTE / SOUNDS / TOUCH
    of WHEN A PERSON IS ACTIVELY DYING —

    how do YOU define a good death
    what would you like?
    And how can I help prepare this for you?

    *this might include liaising with and/or mediating family dialogues, when invited.

  • What does legacy mean to you,
    how can I support you in exploring this?

    What do you want to leave behind,
    and how can I help?

    A common example of legacy work is supporting a client in writing their goodbye letters. I do this threefold:

    1/I come equipped with the experiences, knowledge and tools to empower and enable you to best approach the exercise

    2/I can facilitate the actual writing of the letters, be it through verbal guidance, or literal writing/transcription

    3/I offer counselling through the process of writing the letters - as there is often a lot of emotions (positive and negative) and grief that comes up during the exercise of writing one’s final goodbyes. The client deserves the space to process (and if they are able to, this will lend to a better death).

  • Do you have a bucket list?
    Do you think it’s too late to make one now?
    It’s never too late!

    Let’s explore together some practical, realistic, goals for your end-of-life
    that can be achieved before you die,
    things you still want to do,
    or want to do one more,
    one last time.

    One last visit to the Zoo? One last stargaze? One last meal from that special restaurant?

    Let’s make the list! And then let me support you in facilitating some — as many — if not all of your end-of-life wishes for you and your loved ones.

  • Whether you are exploring anticipatory grief: grieving the imminent loss of your own life, or that of a loved one.

    Whatever the loss you are grieving - death, or non death loss, I can support you in journeying through your grief:

    Emotionally, and practically - through various modes of practice including:
    talk therapy/counselling;
    exercises from various grief models;
    borrowing from CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) and
    DBT (dialectical behavioural therapy) etc.

    I ALSO OFFER SMALL-LARGE CUSTOM/SPECIALIZED SUPPORT GROUPS UPON REQUEST for groups that have encountered a tragedy and require urgent grief counselling.

    Familiar working with individuals identifying as ND/on the spectrum - which often comes with it’s own unique grief/grieving nuances.

  • Whether more ‘active’ - reading poetry, bible verses, or simply pages from the client’s favourite book; sharing in a favourite tv show; listening to favourite tunes, or as more commonly imagined - sitting in silence -

    I will sit with your loved one, so that you (family/loved ones) may take respite from caregiving, and take a well needed ‘break’ —knowing that if the time comes:

    1) your loved one will not be alone were they to die, and/or 2) were there enough time, someone would be there to alert you (and care circle) that the time has come.

  • Find navigating all of the practical 'homework’ of advance-care planning and understanding the bureaucracy of end-of-life all so overwhelming?

    Short of a lawyer’s or doctor’s job, I can support you with these documents and help educate you to best make these decisions.

  • Do you have a paralysing fear of dying and death that is getting in the way of letting you FULLY LIVE YOUR LIFE?

    Then this support service is for you!

    I developed this after several individuals came to me looking for support in managing death anxiety. These were individuals looking to face death —
    NOT BECAUSE THEY HAD ANY DIAGNOSIS,
    NOT BECAUSE THEY WERE IMMINENTLY DYING -
    but because it felt like their fear of death was no longer tolerable
    , and they wanted to do something positive about it.

    THIS SERVICE IS FOR ANYBODY, OF ANY AGE, AT ANY STAGE OF LIFE.

    If you have been dismissed in the past because ‘everyone is afraid of death,’ but you know what you’re dealing with is bigger or more damaging than what other people seem to deal with.
